Hydrophobic absorbents absorbs all hydrocarbons whilst repelling water. Even when fully saturated these absorbents will still float on the surface of the water.
Hydrophilic absorbents absorbs all liquids, oil, cutting fluid and water based substances. These range of absorbents are designed for industry where there are mixtures of oil and water substances.
Hydrophilic absorbents has been designed for use with a broad range of chemicals and is ideal for emergency response as as day to day use in laboratories etc.
The recycled fabric is different to polypropylene in that it allows water to flow through the fabric whilst filtering the oil and retaining the oil within the fibres. This product is perfect for environmentally sensitive areas and shore line protection.
